The Power of HOPE & Community

Through the generosity of friends, families, local businesses, donors and fundraising events, Power of HOPE Community Organization is able to provide essential items needed by low income families, children and women in crisis.

Some of the items donated include pyjamas, toiletries, towels and soft toys. Each year we hold Pyjama and Stuffed Toy drives where we ask local businesses to collect donations on our behalf.

If you would like to donate or host a drive, visit the Oxford County or London & Area chapter websites to see how you can get involved.

About Power of HOPE Community Organization

Power of HOPE Community Organization became a not-for-profit in 2011 and a charity in 2014, but it all began back in 2005 with Hurricane Katrina. When Penny, our Founder heard about the desperate need for the bare essentials by families who had lost, not only their homes, but all their possessions, she went into action by collecting items she could send to the devastated families of New Orleans.

In 2012, Power of HOPE expanded into the Woodstock area when Karen Geerts joined the Board of Directors. Find out how you can help families in need in the Woodstock area. (link to Woodstock page)

In 2016, Power of HOPE expanded once again into the London area with Karen Green joining the team. Find out how you can help families in need in the London area. (link to London page)

All money raised and donations received in each of these areas stay in the community.
